Nuclear Reactor

Product Code : EL-PC-2926
Jlab Export is a leading Nuclear Reactor Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Nuclear Reactor (code EL-PC-2926) is a printed physics wall chart on the nuclear reactor, where a controlled chain reaction of nuclear fission releases heat that can be turned into electricity, for senior school and college physics. The 58 x 90 cm chart is printed in full colour on 130 gsm coated art paper and laminated on both sides, with plastic rollers for hanging. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, Ambala, India) supplies it to schools, colleges and dealers.

What Is the Nuclear Reactor Chart Used For?

In a nuclear power reactor, heavy nuclei such as uranium split when they absorb a slow neutron, releasing a large amount of energy and a few more neutrons. Those neutrons can trigger further fissions, and the reactor keeps this chain reaction steady. Fuel rods hold the uranium; a moderator such as ordinary water, heavy water or graphite slows the neutrons so that they cause fission more readily; and control rods made of a neutron absorber such as cadmium or boron are raised or lowered to hold the rate constant or shut the reactor down. A coolant carries the heat away to raise steam, the steam drives a turbine coupled to a generator, and thick concrete shielding protects people from the radiation.

The reactor is the standard example of controlled fission in class 12 physics and in college courses on nuclear physics and energy resources, and it also comes up when classes discuss radioactive waste and safety. The chart helps students follow the energy chain from fission to electricity. The listing does not describe the panels, so ask for a preview image to confirm what is shown.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Number of charts — the minimum order is 10 units.
  • Nuclear set — Nuclear Fusion and Radioactivity from this series, plus the Nuclear Energy chart.
  • Energy chain — the Electric Generator chart covers the last step from turbine to electricity.
  • Delivery — destination country, port or city and the delivery terms to quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a reactor need control rods?
They absorb neutrons. Raising or lowering them changes how many neutrons are available to cause fission, which keeps the chain reaction at a steady rate or stops it altogether.

Does the chart show a particular type of reactor?
The listing does not say which design is drawn or which parts are labelled. Ask JLab for a preview image if you need to check this against your syllabus.

Which courses is it suited to?
Class 12 physics and introductory college nuclear physics, and general lessons on how electricity is generated from different energy sources.

What are the size, weight and finish?
58 x 90 cm, 228 g, about 58 x 4 x 2 cm rolled; full-colour CTP offset printing on 130 gsm coated art paper with 30 micron heat-sealable polyester lamination on both sides. The surface is markable and washable, and the text is in English only.

What is needed for an export quotation?
The quantity, destination country and port or city, the delivery terms you prefer such as FOB or CIF, packing or labelling instructions, and the tender reference if relevant.

Who supplies the Nuclear Reactor chart?
JLab, trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd in Ambala, Haryana, India, supplies it and quotes directly.

Supplier

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. JLab resells charts from this physics series together with the laboratory apparatus it makes, which keeps chart and equipment purchases for a physics department on one quotation. Charts are inspected visually before dispatch. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Turkmenistan in Central Asia, Barbados in Central America and the Caribbean, Algeria in North Africa, Thailand in Southeast Asia and Argentina in South America. The lab tenders page has information for tender purchases.

Related Energy and Nuclear Physics Charts

  • Nuclear Fusion — the series chart on joining light nuclei, the energy source of stars.
  • Radioactivity — the series chart on radiation from unstable nuclei.
  • Nuclear Energy — a wall chart on the energy released when atomic nuclei split or join.
  • Electric Generator — the series chart on the machine that turns the turbine’s motion into electricity.
