What Is the pH-mV-Temperature Meter Used For?
A pH electrode produces a small voltage that depends on the hydrogen-ion activity of the solution; the meter reads that voltage in mV and converts it to pH. Temperature is measured as well because the electrode’s response changes with temperature, and the mV mode is also used for redox (ORP) electrodes and for checking the condition of an electrode.
