Focusing on Ball Bearing Guides
The focusing knobs share one axis and sit on both sides of the arm, so either hand can focus. They drive the stage through a gear reduction system, and the stage travels on ball bearing guides, which keeps the motion smooth and easy to control at high power.
Stage, Condenser and Light
Low drive coaxial controls move the 145 x 125 mm stage along the X and Y axes. Under it, a movable substage condenser of N.A. 1.25 has an iris diaphragm and filter holder. The 6 V, 20 W halogen bulb in the large base runs on 220 V, or 110 V as an option, with an ON/OFF switch and an intensity regulator.
Objectives and Heads
The quadruple nosepiece has a rubber grip and takes 4X, 10X, 40X SL and 100X SL oil objectives in achromatic, semi plan or DIN-size semi plan form. With WF 10X eyepieces they cover 40X to 1000X. Observation heads are interchangeable, so the head can be chosen when ordering.
