Cystic Fibrosis Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-5185
Jlab Export is a leading Cystic Fibrosis Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Cystic Fibrosis Model (code EL-BE-5185) is a teaching model of cystic fibrosis, the inherited disorder in which thick, sticky mucus clogs the lungs and the pancreas. It supports genetics lessons on recessive inheritance as well as physiology, nursing and medical teaching on how one faulty gene affects several organs. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Cystic Fibrosis Model Used For?
Cystic fibrosis is caused by changes in the CFTR gene on chromosome 7. The gene codes for a channel protein that moves chloride across cell membranes; when it fails, the body’s secretions lose water and become thick. In the airways the mucus traps bacteria, causing repeated chest infections and gradual lung damage. In the pancreas it blocks the ducts, so digestive enzymes cannot reach the gut, fats are poorly digested and children may grow slowly. Sweat becomes very salty, which is the basis of the sweat test.
The condition is recessive: a child is affected only on inheriting a faulty copy from each parent, so two carrier parents have a one-in-four chance of an affected child with each pregnancy. The NCERT class 12 biology chapter on principles of inheritance lists cystic fibrosis among Mendelian disorders, which makes the model a natural companion to pedigree and Punnett-square exercises.

Frequently Asked Questions
What causes cystic fibrosis?
Faults in both copies of the CFTR gene. The faulty channel protein makes secretions thick, which damages mainly the lungs and the pancreas.
How is cystic fibrosis inherited?
As an autosomal recessive trait. Carriers with one faulty copy are healthy; when both parents are carriers, each child has a one-in-four chance of being affected.
Who manufactures it?
JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd), at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab stands for Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a laboratory equipment and science-teaching-model manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The cystic fibrosis model is produced in JLab’s own works rather than bought from traders, so schools, universities, dealers and importers buy direct, and each piece passes a visual check before dispatch. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Mexico in North America, Qatar in the Middle East, Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, Ghana in West Africa and Sweden in Northern Europe. Tender information is on the JLab lab tenders page.
