Bacterial Genome and Replication Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-6174
Jlab Export is a leading Bacterial Genome and Replication Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Bacterial Genome and Replication Model (code EL-BE-6174) is a molecular biology teaching model on how a bacterium stores its genes — usually one circular chromosome plus optional plasmids — and how that chromosome is copied from a single origin before the cell divides. It suits class 12 biology and college microbiology. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Bacterial Genome and Replication Model Used For?
A bacterium has no nucleus. Its main genome is normally a single circular molecule of double-stranded DNA, tightly supercoiled and packed with proteins into the nucleoid rather than wound into eukaryotic chromatin. Many bacteria also carry plasmids — small extra circles of DNA that copy themselves independently and often carry genes such as antibiotic resistance, which is why plasmids became the standard vectors of biotechnology.
Replication begins at one origin. Helicase opens the double helix and two replication forks travel in opposite directions round the circle until they meet in the terminus region, so the copying chromosome looks like the Greek letter theta. Primase lays down short RNA primers, DNA polymerase III builds the new strands (continuously on leading strands, as Okazaki fragments on lagging strands), DNA polymerase I replaces the primers, ligase seals the gaps, and DNA gyrase relieves the twisting ahead of each fork. NCERT class 12 uses E. coli and the Meselson–Stahl experiment to show that this copying is semiconservative. Each daughter cell then receives one chromosome when the cell divides by binary fission.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is bacterial DNA replication different from human DNA replication?
A circular bacterial chromosome has a single origin, while each linear human chromosome has many origins and needs telomeres at its ends. The basic chemistry — primers, polymerases, leading and lagging strands — is shared.
Does the model show plasmids as well as the chromosome?
The listing does not say which parts are shown. Ask JLab for a description and photo with your quotation so you can check it against your syllabus.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of biology and molecular biology teaching models in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. JLab makes this model in its own works, not via a trader, so colleges, schools, dealers and importers order from the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Gabon in Central Africa, Namibia in Southern Africa, Mexico in North America, the UK in Western Europe and Japan in East Asia.
