Genetic Modulation of Sickle Cell Disease Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-5880
Jlab Export is a leading Genetic Modulation of Sickle Cell Disease Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Genetic Modulation of Sickle Cell Disease Model (code EL-BE-5880) is a teaching model on why people who inherit the same sickle cell mutation can have very different illness — the role of other, “modifier” genes. It suits college genetics, biochemistry, medical and nursing teaching, and gives senior biology students a step beyond simple Mendelian inheritance. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Sickle Cell Disease Modulation Model Used For?
Sickle cell disease starts with one change in the beta globin gene, yet its severity varies widely. The most widely studied modifier is foetal haemoglobin (HbF): it does not join the fibres that sickle haemoglobin forms, so people who keep making more HbF after infancy tend to have less sickling. HbF levels are themselves inherited, influenced by variants in genes such as BCL11A and within the beta globin gene cluster. Co-inheriting alpha-thalassaemia lowers the haemoglobin concentration in each red cell and changes the pattern of complications.
The genetic background around the sickle gene matters too: the Arab-Indian haplotype, found in parts of India and the Gulf, is associated with higher HbF and generally milder disease. These findings explain why raising HbF is a major research target, and they make the disease a clear teaching example of genotype, phenotype and gene interaction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which modifying factors does the model illustrate?
The listing gives only the title, with no parts, labels, size or material. Ask JLab for a description and photograph with your quotation before you order.
How does it relate to the Sickle Cell Anemia Model?
That model covers the disorder itself; this one is titled for the genetic factors that modulate it. Teachers often present the two in sequence; neither listing gives dimensions.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of teaching models and laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The model is produced in JLab’s own works, not bought in from a trader, so medical and nursing colleges, universities, dealers and importers order factory-direct and reorder from the same maker. The company is registered under CIN U29309HR2017PTC069123 and holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 (manufacturing enterprise). JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Paraguay in South America, Chad in Central Africa, Vanuatu in Oceania, South Korea in East Asia and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East.
