Single Pass Transmembrane Protein Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-5885
Jlab Export is a leading Single Pass Transmembrane Protein Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Single Pass Transmembrane Protein Model (code EL-BE-5885) is a cell biology teaching model of a membrane protein that crosses the lipid bilayer just once, leaving one part of the chain outside the cell and the other in the cytoplasm. Teachers use it in class 11 lessons on the fluid mosaic membrane and in college cell and molecular biology. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Single Pass Transmembrane Protein Model Used For?
Integral membrane proteins are held in the bilayer by stretches of hydrophobic amino acids. In a single-pass (bitopic) protein there is one such stretch, usually folded as an alpha helix, so the chain has a domain on each face of the membrane. The protein is threaded into the endoplasmic reticulum membrane while it is being made, and start-transfer and stop-transfer sequences decide which end finishes up outside. Familiar examples are glycophorin A of the red blood cell membrane and many cell-surface receptors, such as the EGF receptor, whose outer part binds a signal while the inner part passes it on.
The model helps students contrast these proteins with multi-pass proteins, which weave through the bilayer several times and often form channels or carriers, and with peripheral proteins that only sit on the surface.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the model show, and what is it made of?
The listing gives only the subject. Ask JLab for a description and photograph with your quotation to confirm the parts, labels, size and material.
How does a single-pass protein differ from a multi-pass one?
A single-pass protein crosses the membrane once, through one hydrophobic segment; a multi-pass protein crosses it several times and can build a pore or transporter through the bilayer.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
Ten units is the minimum, each sold singly after a visual check. Dispatch usually takes 7–10 working days, with export transit time added for overseas orders.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a maker of cell biology models and laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. JLab produces this model in its own works instead of reselling a trader’s stock, which lets schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy at source and come back to the same manufacturer for repeat orders. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Malaysia in Southeast Asia, Albania in Southern Europe, Uzbekistan in Central Asia, Hong Kong in East Asia and Estonia in Northern Europe. Details for tender purchases are on the JLab lab tenders page.
