Jlab Export is a leading Cancer Metabolism Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Cancer Metabolism Model (code EL-BE-6152) is a biochemistry teaching model on the way tumour cells rewire their metabolism to feed rapid growth, most famously by burning glucose differently from normal cells. It is intended for college and university biochemistry, cell biology and medical classes. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) manufactures it at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Cancer Metabolism Model Used For?
The central idea is the Warburg effect, named after the biochemist Otto Warburg: many cancer cells take up far more glucose than normal cells and turn much of it into lactate through glycolysis, even when oxygen is plentiful. Their mitochondria usually still work, but the extra glycolysis supplies building blocks as well as energy — intermediates are diverted into the pentose phosphate pathway for nucleotides and into routes that make amino acids and lipids for new cells. Many tumours also rely on glutamine as a second fuel and nitrogen source.
Lecturers can connect this to other topics: low-oxygen signalling inside tumours switches on glycolysis genes, the lactate released acidifies the tissue around the tumour, and the high glucose uptake is why PET scans with a labelled glucose analogue can reveal many cancers. The model is a teaching aid and makes no treatment or diet claims.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Warburg effect?
It is the tendency of many cancer cells to rely heavily on glycolysis and produce lactate even in the presence of oxygen, rather than fully oxidising glucose in their mitochondria.
What exactly does the model depict?
Its labels, parts, size and material are not stated in the listing, and the listing image is an illustration rather than a photo of the model. Ask for a description and current photo with your quotation.
Who manufactures the model?
JLab makes it in its own works in Ambala, Haryana, and quotes as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of biology lab equipment and biochemistry models in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Its models come from its own works, not from a trader, so universities, medical colleges, dealers and importers order direct and can repeat an order with the same maker. The company is registered under GSTIN 06AADCJ9848D1ZE and holds Legal Entity Identifier 549300DTGS77DGYD6N03. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — Fiji in Oceania, Greece in Southern Europe, South Africa in Southern Africa, Egypt in North Africa and Uruguay in South America are examples.
