Jlab Export is a leading Haemoglobin Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Haemoglobin Model (code EL-BE-5883) is a biology teaching model of haemoglobin, the iron-containing protein that fills red blood cells and carries oxygen from the lungs to the tissues. It supports the class 11 chapter on breathing and exchange of gases, protein-structure lessons and college physiology, biochemistry and nursing courses. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Haemoglobin Model Used For?
Adult haemoglobin is built from four polypeptide chains, two alpha and two beta, each holding a haem group with a ferrous iron atom that binds one oxygen molecule. That makes it a standard example of quaternary protein structure. In the lungs, where oxygen pressure is high, it forms oxyhaemoglobin; in the tissues, where oxygen is low and carbon dioxide, acidity and temperature are higher, it gives the oxygen up. Because each bound oxygen makes the next bind more easily, the oxygen dissociation curve is S-shaped.
Haemoglobin also carries part of the carbon dioxide as carbamino-haemoglobin and helps buffer hydrogen ions, while carbon monoxide binds to it far more tightly than oxygen, which is why that gas is so dangerous. A model makes the chains, haem groups and binding sites easier to discuss, and it leads naturally into variants such as foetal haemoglobin and the sickle haemoglobin of sickle cell anaemia.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the model show the four chains and haem groups?
The listing does not describe its parts, labels, size or material. Ask JLab for a description and photograph with your quotation to confirm the level of detail.
Is this an instrument for measuring haemoglobin?
No — it is a teaching model. For estimating haemoglobin in a practical, JLab lists a separate haemoglobinometer, linked below.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of biology models and laboratory instruments in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The haemoglobin model is made in JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy straight from the maker and reorder from one source. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Nepal in South Asia, Germany in Western Europe, Sierra Leone in West Africa, New Zealand in Oceania and Portugal in Southern Europe. Tender buyers will find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
