Digital Trainer to study and verify truth tables of Flip Flops (code EL-DEECP-1180) is a digital electronics trainer for studying and verifying the truth tables of RS, D-type, T-type, JK and JK master-slave flip-flops using TTL ICs. It has a power supply, four switch-selected logic inputs, a 1 Hz clock pulse, two output indicators and a NOT gate for converting the RS flip-flop into a D type, for college, polytechnic and ITI labs. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

Choose this trainer when one unit has to cover all five flip-flop types with ready-made TTL ICs. The NAND-gate trainers suit courses that build flip-flops from basic gates, and the JK trainer focuses on the JK and master-slave ICs alone.
What Is the Flip-Flop Trainer Used For?
A flip-flop is a one-bit memory cell and the building block of counters, registers and memory. The RS flip-flop is set or reset by its two inputs, but one input combination — both inputs active together — is not allowed. Feeding the reset input from the set input through the trainer’s NOT gate gives a D (data) flip-flop, which simply stores the bit on its D input and so avoids that forbidden state. A JK flip-flop removes the restriction in another way: with J and K both high it toggles, and tying J and K together gives the T (toggle) flip-flop, which changes state on each clock pulse while T is high and so divides the clock by two. If the clock pulse is longer than the gate delay, a simple JK can toggle repeatedly (race-around); the master-slave version prevents this with two latches, the master accepting data on one clock level and the slave passing it to the output on the other.
Students select the inputs with the switches, apply the 1 Hz clock so each change can be seen on the two output indicators, and record the truth table for each type, using the printed diagrams and the sockets to follow the connections. The experiment is a core practical in digital electronics for B.Sc. physics and electronics, engineering diplomas and ITI electronics trades, and leads on to counter and shift register experiments.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Trainer type — this all-in-one TTL version, a NAND-gate version, or the JK master-slave trainer, compared above.
- Mains supply — state your supply voltage, as the power-supply rating is not listed.
- Follow-on experiments — counter and shift register trainers can be added to the same enquiry.
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which flip-flops can be studied on this trainer?
RS, D type, T type, JK and JK master-slave flip-flops, each by verifying its truth table with TTL ICs.
How is the D flip-flop obtained?
From the RS flip-flop, using the NOT gate provided on the trainer for that conversion.
What clock and indicators does it have?
A 1 Hz clock pulse, slow enough to watch each transition, and two output indicators.
Why does the trainer include a JK master-slave flip-flop?
It shows how two latches clocked on opposite levels stop the race-around problem of a simple level-triggered JK flip-flop.
How does it differ from the NAND-gate flip-flop trainers?
This trainer uses TTL ICs placed inside the cabinet and adds the JK master-slave type. The NAND-gate trainers are listed for RS, D, T and JK (or RS and D only), built from NAND gates.
What should an export quotation request include?
The quantity, destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, packing or labelling needs, and any tender reference.
Who manufactures this flip-flop trainer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of electronics trainers and science laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The flip-flop trainer is assembled at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so colleges, institutes, dealers and importers buy it direct, each unit is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders are handled by the manufacturer. JLab holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 as a manufacturing enterprise and Importer-Exporter Code 3317504552. It exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Turkey in the Middle East, Mongolia in East Asia, Poland in Eastern Europe, Honduras in Central America and the Caribbean and Sri Lanka in South Asia. Tender information is on the JLab lab tenders page.
