Using the Camera Port
The third tube of the head is C-mount ready, and the included C-mount relay lens couples the 1.3 MP camera to it. The camera saves stills in JPEG or BMP at up to 1280 x 1024 and delivers 30 frames per second at 640 x 480 for a smooth live picture over its USB 2.0 interface.
Stage, Focus and Condenser
The double-layer stage holds the slide with two clips and moves it from a low-set control knob, while the coaxial coarse and fine knobs sit low on the bracket near the base. Under the stage, the iris diaphragm of the 1.25 N.A. Abbe condenser sets contrast and a swing-out holder takes a filter. The ball-bearing reversed nosepiece clicks each objective into a centred position.
