Phase Locked Loop Circuit (PLL) Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-TKFCL-1204
Jlab Export is a leading Phase Locked Loop Circuit (PLL) Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Phase Locked Loop Circuit (PLL) (code EL-TKFCL-1204) is a panel trainer for studying a phase locked loop and calculating its lock range and capture range frequencies. It is built around the IC 565 PLL chip, with two DC regulated power supplies, resistors, capacitors and a potentiometer wired inside and the connections brought out on the front panel. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) makes it at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the PLL Trainer Used For?
A phase locked loop compares the phase of an incoming signal with that of its own voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and, through a phase detector and a low-pass loop filter, pulls the VCO until it runs at the same frequency as the input. The IC 565 packs the phase detector, amplifier and VCO into one chip, which makes it a standard device for teaching PLLs in B.Sc. electronics, engineering and polytechnic communication labs and ITI electronics courses. PLLs are used for FM demodulation, frequency synthesis, tone decoding and clock recovery, so this experiment links directly to the modulation panels in the same range.
To find the two ranges, students feed a signal from a function generator into the loop and watch the VCO output on an oscilloscope while slowly sweeping the input frequency up and then down. The capture range is the band of frequencies over which an unlocked loop can pull into lock; the lock range is the wider band over which a loop that is already locked stays locked. Both are read off as the frequencies where lock is gained and lost on either side of the free-running frequency.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 trainers.
- Mains voltage and plug type — the input rating is not stated in this listing.
- Function generator and oscilloscope — both are needed for the lock and capture range measurements; add them to the enquiry if your lab lacks them.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between lock range and capture range?
Capture range is how far from its free-running frequency the loop can acquire lock from an unlocked state; lock range is how far it can follow an input once already locked. The capture range is never wider than the lock range.
Which IC does this PLL trainer use?
The IC 565, a general-purpose phase locked loop chip that contains the phase detector, amplifier and voltage-controlled oscillator.
Are a function generator and oscilloscope included?
No. The listing covers the PLL panel with its two DC regulated supplies; a function generator and an oscilloscope are separate items, linked below.
Who manufactures this PLL trainer?
JLab, the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, at its works in Ambala, Haryana.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the brand of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of communication and electronics trainers and laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This PLL trainer is made at JLab’s own works instead of being bought from a trader, so institutions, dealers and importers get it factory-direct, with a visual inspection of every unit before dispatch and repeat orders and spares handled by the maker. The company is registered as a manufacturing enterprise under MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 and holds Importer-Exporter Code 3317504552. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Tonga in Oceania, Jamaica in Central America and the Caribbean, Mozambique in East Africa, Taiwan in East Asia and Benin in West Africa. Tender information is on the JLab lab tenders page.
Test Equipment and Related Trainers
- Function Generator — a low-distortion sine, square and triangle source for driving the PLL input.
- Dual Trace Oscilloscope — to watch the input and VCO signals together and see when lock is gained or lost.
- Study of Frequency Modulation and Demodulation — the FM panel, a natural next step since PLLs are widely used as FM demodulators.
- Study of Amplitude Modulation and Demodulation — the AM panel from the same communication lab range.
See all panels in the Training Kits for Communication Lab range or the wider Scientific Instrument range.
