What the Side Tube Does
When liquid runs into a closed flask, the gas it displaces would build up pressure under the funnel and slow or stop the flow. The side tube carries that gas up to the space above the liquid, so the funnel and the flask stay at the same pressure and the liquid keeps dropping even with a stopper in the top socket.
Socket and Cone Combinations
The 100 ml funnel comes as B19 socket with B19 cone, B24 with B19, or B29 with B29. The 250 ml funnel comes as B24 with B19, B24 with B24, B29 with B29 or B34 with B34. The cone is chosen to match the flask neck, and the socket to match the stopper or fitting that will go on top.
