What Is the RF Oscillators Board Used For?

An RF oscillator is a transistor amplifier with positive feedback through a tuned LC circuit, and it oscillates at the resonant frequency set by that circuit’s inductance and capacitance. Turning the variable gang condenser changes the capacitance, so students can tune the oscillator and follow how its output frequency changes — a core topic in electronics and communication courses at diploma, BSc and engineering level.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the variable gang condenser do?
It is the tuning capacitor of the oscillator’s resonant circuit. A gang condenser has its capacitor sections on one shaft, and turning it changes the capacitance and therefore the frequency of oscillation.

How is it different from the R.F. Oscillators instrument with a similar name?
That instrument is a 3 MHz radio-frequency oscillator with a calibrated dial and a high output voltage, used as the RF source for ultrasonic and Lecher wire experiments. This board is a training circuit for studying an RF oscillator built from a PNP transistor and a variable gang condenser.

What information is needed for an export quotation?
The number of boards, the destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, and any packing, labelling or tender requirements.

Who manufactures the RF Oscillators board?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of electronics and physics lab equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The board is made at JLab’s own works and not bought in from a trader, so colleges, institutes, dealers and importers order it from the manufacturer itself, each board is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders are handled at the same works. The company is registered under CIN U29309HR2017PTC069123 and holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 as a manufacturing enterprise. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Austria in Western Europe, Gabon in Central Africa, New Zealand in Oceania, Japan in East Asia and Moldova in Eastern Europe. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
