Shut Off Valves TST For Refrigeration 5/8 Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-RACLE-12838
Jlab Export is a leading Shut Off Valves TST For Refrigeration 5/8 Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Of the three flare sizes in this shut-off valve series, 5/8 in is the widest, for the bigger copper lines found on commercial refrigeration and larger split systems. Like the smaller sizes, it is made for high working pressure. Its design, welding and seals suit circuits charged with R410A.

Lab Exercises on Pressure Testing Valves
For a pressure-test exercise, students form 5/8 in flares with the 45 Degree Flaring And Swaging Tool and build the valve into a short test loop. The loop is then filled with nitrogen from a Nitrogen Pressure Test Kit and left for a set time while they watch for any fall in pressure.
Next they close the valve, release one side and check that the other side keeps its gauge reading. Teachers can finish with a charging demonstration using R-410A Refrigerant, showing why parts on these lines must be built for high pressure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is a 5/8 in shut-off valve fitted?
It goes on 5/8 in copper, a size often used for suction lines on bigger split and commercial units. Use a 5/8 in flare nut on 5/8 in tube, because a mixed-size joint will not seal.
Does a larger flare valve need more care when tightening?
Yes. Bigger flare nuts need more torque, and uneven force can twist the valve. Hold the body with a second spanner and tighten the nut with an Analog Torque Wrench fitted with its adjustable spanner head.
What does the high working pressure note mean?
It means the design, welding and sealing material of the valve suit high-pressure duty, for example a system charged with R410A. Such systems run well above the pressures of older refrigerants, so weak parts in the line show up quickly.
Should the valve be left open after service?
Yes. Once the work and the leak test are done, open it fully so the line runs without restriction, and refit any cap that covers the stem. A valve left part-closed throttles the line.
