Signal Tracer Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-TAMI-1030
Jlab Export is a leading Signal Tracer Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Signal Tracer (code EL-TAMI-1030) is a fault-finding instrument for radio receivers. Its probe covers 100 kHz to 30 MHz to pick up RF and IF signals, and the traced signal is heard through a built-in loudspeaker with up to 5 W of audio output. It is supplied complete with A.F. and R.F. probes and works on 220 V mains. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Signal Tracer Used For?
Signal tracing finds the faulty stage of a receiver by following the signal through it. With a station or a modulated RF signal generator feeding the set, the technician touches the R.F. probe to the aerial, mixer and IF stages and then the A.F. probe to the detector and audio stages, listening to the signal on the tracer’s own amplifier and loudspeaker at each point. The signal is present up to the faulty stage and weak, distorted or missing after it, which narrows the search to a few components. Because the tracer has its own audio output of up to 5 W, a set with a dead output stage or speaker can still be traced right through.
The instrument suits ITI and polytechnic radio and TV mechanic courses, B.Sc. and engineering electronics and communication labs, and service benches. Work from the aerial towards the speaker, take care around mains-powered sets, and use the A.F. probe only on audio-frequency points.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Mains supply — the listing gives 220 V; state your local supply and frequency.
- Signal source — add an AM/FM R.F. oscillator if students will work on receivers without a broadcast signal.
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a signal tracer used for?
Locating faults in radio receivers by listening to the signal stage by stage until the point where it is lost or distorted.
What frequencies can the probe detect?
The R.F. probe covers 100 kHz to 30 MHz and detects R.F. and I.F. signals; the A.F. probe is used on the audio stages.
What comes with the signal tracer?
It is listed as complete with A.F. and R.F. probes and a loudspeaker, with an audio output of up to 5 W.
Who manufactures this signal tracer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its Ambala works and quotes for it directly.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of electronics training and test equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The signal tracer is built in JLab’s own works, not resold from a trader, so training institutes, colleges, dealers and importers order directly from the maker, and each unit is visually inspected before dispatch. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Vietnam in Southeast Asia, Samoa in Oceania, Iceland in Northern Europe, Luxembourg in Western Europe and Brazil in South America. See the JLab lab tenders page for tender supplies.
Radio Servicing Instruments
- R.F. Oscillator AM and FM — a modulated signal source for radio and TV testing.
- R.F. Oscillator — continuous-wave and 400 Hz modulated RF from 100 kHz to 30 MHz.
- Demonstration Model for Experiments of MW Radio Circuits — a medium-wave receiver trainer for fault-finding practice.
- Dual Trace Oscilloscope — for viewing the waveforms at each stage.
