Filling and Weighing
Fill the bottle to the brim and seat the stopper so the surplus rises out through the capillary, then wipe the outside dry. Weigh it empty, full of water and full of the test liquid, all at one temperature: specific gravity is the mass of liquid divided by the mass of the same volume of water. The 25 ml size suits small samples.
