Young's Modulus of Wire's Apparatus Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-PLEA-13385
Jlab Export is a leading Young's Modulus of Wire's Apparatus Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Young’s Modulus of Wire’s Apparatus (code EL-PLEA-13385) is a two-frame set for measuring the Young’s modulus of a wire: two iron frames joined by a link, self-centring chucks to grip the wire, and a micrometer screw reading to 0.1 mm against a sensitive spirit level. A cast iron ceiling attachment, wire and torsion weight come with it. JLab produces this elasticity apparatus in Ambala, India.

How the Extension Is Measured
This is the arrangement used in Searle’s method. The two frames hang side by side, one on a reference wire and one on the test wire, both gripped in chucks below the ceiling attachment. With the bubble centred, note the micrometer reading. Load the test wire and it stretches, tilting the level; turn the screw until the bubble is centred again, and the change in reading is the extension. Since both wires share one support, any sag of the support or change in room temperature affects both and cancels out.
Working Out the Modulus
Measure the length of the test wire with a meter scale and its diameter at several points with a screw gauge. Young’s modulus is the load multiplied by the original length, divided by the cross-sectional area multiplied by the extension. Take readings while loading and again while unloading: matching pairs show the wire stayed within its elastic limit.
