Jlab Export is a leading Study of Transistor Amplifier Circuits Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Study of Transistor Amplifier Circuits (code EL-AK-1120) is a trainer for studying the frequency response, input impedance, output impedance and the effect of negative feedback in common base, common emitter and common collector transistor amplifiers. Its components sit on the front panel, with important points on terminals, in an 8 x 6 x 3 inch unit. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

How Does It Compare with Other JLab Amplifier Kits?
| Kit | What it studies (as listed) | Listed hardware |
|---|---|---|
| This kit (EL-AK-1120) | Frequency response, input and output impedance, negative feedback in CB, CE and CC amplifiers | Components on front panel, terminals; generator and millivoltmeter optional |
| Study of Transistor Amplifier Circuits (Electronics Lab range) | Frequency response; feedback in CB and CE amplifiers; input and output impedance, bandwidth, gain | Inbuilt fixed regulated +12 V DC supply; printed Bakelite front panel; patch cords listed |
| Biasing of Transistor BJT | Fixed, collector-to-base, emitter-resistor and voltage-divider bias | DC regulated supply, one NPN transistor, two meters |
Choose this kit when one compact unit should cover all three basic configurations; the Electronics Lab version builds in its own 12 V supply but lists CB and CE only, and the biasing kit focuses on bias circuits alone.
What Is the Transistor Amplifier Trainer Used For?
Comparing the three single-transistor configurations is a standard analog electronics practical in B.Sc. physics and electronics, diploma and engineering courses and ITI/TVET electronics trades. On this trainer students see, from their own readings, that the common emitter stage gives both voltage and current gain with the output inverted; the common base stage has a low input impedance, a high output impedance and a current gain just under one; and the common collector stage (emitter follower) has a voltage gain just under one, a high input impedance and a low output impedance, which makes it a buffer. Adding negative feedback lowers the gain but widens the bandwidth and steadies the gain against transistor variations.
For a frequency response, a sine signal of fixed amplitude from an audio frequency generator is applied at the input, the output is read on an AC millivoltmeter as the frequency is stepped across the audio range, and gain in decibels is plotted against frequency on a log scale to find the lower and upper cut-off (−3 dB) points. Input and output impedance are found by adding a known series or load resistance and noting the change in signal level.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 trainers.
- Optional instruments — whether you need an audio frequency function generator and a digital AC millivoltmeter with the trainers.
- Power supply and mains details — the listing does not state them, so confirm the supply arrangement and your mains voltage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which amplifier configurations can be studied?
Common base, common emitter and common collector. For each, the listing names frequency response, input impedance, output impedance and the effect of negative feedback as the studies.
Are the signal generator and AC millivoltmeter included?
No. An audio frequency function generator and a digital AC millivoltmeter are listed as optional items. They can be quoted with the trainers; JLab’s A.F. oscillator function generator is linked below.
How do the three configurations differ?
Common emitter gives voltage and current gain with an inverted output; common base gives voltage gain with low input impedance and good high-frequency behaviour; common collector gives almost unity voltage gain with high input and low output impedance, so it is used as a buffer.
How is this different from the other Study of Transistor Amplifier Circuits trainer?
The Electronics Lab version is listed with an inbuilt +12 V regulated supply, a printed Bakelite front panel and patch cords, and covers feedback in CB and CE amplifiers. This kit lists CB, CE and CC amplifiers in an 8 x 6 x 3 inch unit, with the generator and millivoltmeter as options.
Who manufactures this trainer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of electronics trainers and scientific instruments in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The amplifier trainer is assembled at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so colleges, polytechnics, ITIs, dealers and importers buy it factory-direct; each unit is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders and spares come from the manufacturer. The company is registered as an MSME manufacturing enterprise under UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 and exports under Importer-Exporter Code 3317504552. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Cambodia in Southeast Asia, Madagascar in East Africa, Kazakhstan in Central Asia, Estonia in Northern Europe and Nepal in South Asia. Tender buyers can see the JLab lab tenders page.
