Temperature Control Heat Exchanger Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-MLLE-9165
Jlab Export is a leading Temperature Control Heat Exchanger Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
This setup teaches two subjects side by side: how shell and tube and plate type heat exchangers work, and how a feedback loop controls temperature. Students run the hot and cold streams through each exchanger and watch the loop hold a temperature at its set point.

Heat Transfer and Control Experiments
With the loop closed, students set a temperature, change it in a step and record how the controlled temperature moves and settles. Repeating the test on the shell and tube and then on the plate exchanger shows how the exchanger itself shapes the response of the loop. For a full heat transfer test, the Plate Type Heat Exchanger Apparatus gives the readings for heat transfer rate, LMTD and effectiveness. The two-pass Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger measures hot and cold water flows on rotameters.
A heater-driven temperature loop can be studied on the Temperature Process Control Trainer, which uses an RTD sensor and a proportional power controller. Comparing it with this setup shows the difference between heating a tank directly and controlling temperature through an exchanger.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which heat exchanger types does the setup cover?
It covers two, a shell and tube type and a plate type. Having both in one setup lets students compare them under the same temperature control loop instead of moving between separate rigs.
How does a feedback temperature loop work on a heat exchanger?
A sensor reads the controlled temperature, usually at an exchanger outlet. The controller compares it with the set point and changes the final control element, commonly on the hot or cold stream, to cut the difference.
How is a shell and tube exchanger different from a plate exchanger?
In a shell and tube exchanger one fluid flows through a bundle of tubes while the other passes around them inside a shell. A plate exchanger sends the two fluids between thin stacked plates, which packs a large heat transfer area into a small volume.
Why does a temperature loop respond more slowly than a flow loop?
Heat must pass through metal walls and warm the fluid before the sensor sees any change. This lag slows the loop, so temperature loops are tuned more gently and often use derivative action, which reacts to the rate of change.
