Cooling from Both Sides
Because the vapour meets cold glass on the inside and the outside of its path, a Davies condenser packs more cooling surface into a short length than a single-surface tube, keeping a reflux or distillation set-up compact. Feed the water in at the lowest connection and out at the highest so both surfaces stay flooded.
Sizes at 150 and 200 mm
At 150 mm, the B14 and B19 models offer 180 cm² and the B24 model 230 cm². At 200 mm, surface rises to 250 cm² with B19 joints and 300 cm² with B24 or B29 joints; a B24 cone-only model without a top socket completes the range.
