What Is the Embedded Board Used For?
It is used to learn how a microcontroller is programmed and connected to real devices. Simple routines can be tried first on the switches and LEDs; the ADC, DAC and temperature sensor then bring analog signals into the exercises, and the 24C512 gives practice with I2C, the two-wire serial bus widely used for links between chips.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the ISP programming facility do?
In-system programming loads a program into the microcontroller while it stays on the board, so code can be changed and retested without removing the IC.
What is the 26-pin FRC connector for?
It brings 24 I/O lines out for external interface circuits. FRC stands for flat ribbon cable, and the connector takes a ribbon-cable plug.
How does it differ from the Microcontroller Board (LED Variant)?
Their displays differ: this board has a 16x2 LCD and a four-digit seven-segment display; the LED variant has a six-digit seven-segment LED display. Both have built-in ±12 V and +5 V supplies.
Who supplies the Embedded Board?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab), Ambala, Haryana, India.
Supplier
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a supplier of electronic lab instruments and laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. It offers this board alongside the trainers it builds itself and quotes directly to schools, colleges, dealers and importers.
