What Is the TDM Kit Used For?
In TDM, samples of each signal travel in their own short time slots on one path, and the receiving side routes every sample back to its channel. Here the TDM modulator circuit does the interleaving, and low pass filtering rebuilds each channel’s waveform from its samples. The two sine outputs, at 125 Hz and 200 Hz, differ in frequency, so signals taken from them are easy to tell apart after de-multiplexing.

Why does the low pass filter cut off at 3.4 kHz?
It is the upper edge of the standard telephone speech band, so the filter passes speech-band signals and suppresses the much higher sampling components.
