Product Code : EL-BE-5858
Jlab Export is a leading Fingerprint Composite Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Fingerprint Composite Model (code EL-BE-5858) is a forensic science teaching model of a composite fingerprint — a pattern that combines features of more than one basic type and so does not fit neatly into the arch, loop or whorl groups. It gives classification lessons a harder, real-world example after the basic patterns have been learnt. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

Where Composite Patterns Fit in Fingerprint Classification
In the Henry classification, composites formed a fourth group beside arches, loops and whorls. It covered the central pocket loop (a loop with a small whorl-like centre), the lateral pocket loop, the twinned loop (two loops wrapped round each other) and the accidental, a pattern combining two or more types or matching none of them. Many modern systems, including the one used by the FBI, place these patterns under whorls instead, so students need to know both conventions when they read older and newer reference books.
In class, the composite usually comes after the three basic patterns. Students locate each core and delta, decide which features belong to which pattern type, and discuss why two examiners might classify the same print differently. As with every pattern, the type only narrows a search; identity is established by comparing minutiae such as ridge endings and bifurcations.
Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a composite fingerprint?
Any pattern that combines features of more than one type, such as central pocket loops, twinned loops and accidentals. The listing does not say which composite this model shows, so ask for it with the quotation.
Are composites the same as whorls?
In many current systems, yes — they are filed as whorl sub-types. Henry’s original scheme kept them as a separate group.
Who manufactures it?
JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd), in its own works at Ambala, Haryana.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, which manufactures forensic and biology teaching aids and other laboratory equipment in India; it was incorporated in 2017 and operates from Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Producing the models itself means colleges, training academies, dealers and importers receive factory-direct quotations and can reorder from the same source. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example the Netherlands in Western Europe, Mexico in North America, Zambia in East Africa, Namibia in Southern Africa and Tajikistan in Central Asia.
Other Fingerprint Pattern Models
- Fingerprint Whorl Model — the group many systems now file composites under.
- Fingerprint Loop Model — the commonest pattern family.
- Fingerprint Arch Model — the simplest pattern.
- DNA Fingerprinting Classroom Kit — identification by DNA profiling rather than ridge patterns.
