Hydrocarbon Set Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-GE-7280
Jlab Export is a leading Hydrocarbon Set Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Hydrocarbon Set (code EL-GE-7280) is a set of 12 samples, kept in a Gratnells tray with lid, that shows how oil and coal form and how oil is trapped underground: a source rock, three reservoir rocks, three cap rocks, oil tar sand with crude oil, and the coal series from peat to anthracite. It is used in geography, earth science and geology teaching. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, Ambala, India) supplies it to schools, colleges and dealers.

What Is the Hydrocarbon Set Used For?
The set lets students handle each part of an oil system. Oil forms when organic matter buried in a fine-grained source rock, such as oil shale, is slowly heated; it then moves into porous, permeable reservoir rocks like sandstone and limestone, and collects there only where an impermeable cap rock — shale, gypsum or clay — seals it in. Laid out in the tray, the samples make it easy to compare the open texture of a reservoir rock with the tight, fine grain of a cap rock, and to see oil held in sand in the tar sand sample. The coal samples show the coal series: as plant material is buried deeper, peat becomes lignite, then bituminous coal and finally anthracite, its carbon content rising at each stage.
It suits coal and petroleum topics in middle and secondary school science and geography, natural-resources lessons, and introductory petroleum geology in college. Keep the lid on between lessons, store the tray away from heat and open flames, and have students wash their hands after handling the crude oil and coal samples.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 sets; a lab may plan one set per bench group.
- Sample list — ask JLab to confirm the current contents with your quotation if your syllabus needs particular rocks.
- Companion items — a sedimentary rock collection or a fossil fuels chart can go on the same order.
- Delivery details — the destination country and port or city for export orders.
Frequently Asked Questions
What samples are in the Hydrocarbon Set?
Oil tar sand with crude oil, oil shale (Kimmeridge) as the source rock, sandstone, oolitic limestone and chalk as reservoir rocks, shale, gypsum and clay/marl as cap rocks, and peat, lignite, bituminous coal and anthracite coal.
How many samples are there, and how are they stored?
There are 12 samples, kept in a Gratnells tray with a lid. The crude oil shares a compartment with the oil tar sand.
Why does the set include three different cap rocks?
Shale, gypsum and clay/marl are labelled cap rocks A, B and C. Each is an impermeable rock type that can seal oil in a reservoir, so students can compare them side by side.
What does the coal series show?
Peat, lignite, bituminous coal and anthracite are successive stages of coal formation. Moving along the series, the samples become harder and richer in carbon, which is why anthracite gives more heat when burned than lignite.
What should an export enquiry include?
The number of sets, the destination country and port or city, your preferred delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling requirements, and a tender reference where relevant.
Who supplies the Hydrocarbon Set?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab), Ambala, India supplies it and quotes for it directly, together with JLab’s own rock collections and geology equipment.
Supplier
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a laboratory equipment company incorporated in 2017 on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The Hydrocarbon Set is a resale item that JLab supplies next to its own geology and geography range, so a school or college can buy it with rock collections and charts on one quotation. Every set is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders are handled by the same team. The company’s GSTIN is 06AADCJ9848D1ZE and its Legal Entity Identifier is 549300DTGS77DGYD6N03.
