Metabolism Xenobiotics in Cell Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-6149
Jlab Export is a leading Metabolism Xenobiotics in Cell Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Metabolism Xenobiotics in Cell Model (code EL-BE-6149) is a biochemistry teaching model on how a cell deals with xenobiotics — chemicals foreign to the body, such as medicines, pollutants, pesticides and food additives — by changing them into forms it can excrete. It is suited to college courses in biochemistry, pharmacology and toxicology. Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) produces it at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Xenobiotic Metabolism Model Used For?
It gives students a cell-level picture of drug and toxin handling, which happens mostly in liver cells. Many xenobiotics are fat-soluble and would tend to build up in the body, so the cell processes them in stages. In phase I, enzymes of the cytochrome (CYP) family in the smooth endoplasmic reticulum oxidise, reduce or hydrolyse the molecule, adding or exposing a reactive group. In phase II, transferase enzymes attach a water-soluble partner such as glucuronic acid, sulphate or glutathione. A third step is often added, in which membrane transport pumps — including multidrug-resistance transporters — move the products out of the cell into bile or urine.
The model also helps explain two important exceptions: some phase I products are more toxic than the original chemical, which is how certain substances in tobacco smoke, such as benzo[a]pyrene, become carcinogens; and some drugs increase the amount of CYP enzyme, speeding the breakdown of other medicines taken at the same time.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a xenobiotic?
Any chemical that is foreign to the body’s normal chemistry, including medicines, environmental pollutants and many food additives.
Does the model show phases I and II, and how big is it?
The listing records neither the labelled steps nor the size or material, so please ask for a description and photo with the quotation.
Who makes it?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, in its own works in Ambala, Haryana.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of biology lab equipment and biochemistry teaching models in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Production takes place in JLab’s own works, not through a trading house, so colleges, pharmacy schools, dealers and importers buy from the maker and can reorder the same model later. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Iceland in Northern Europe, Germany in Western Europe, Libya in North Africa, Cameroon in Central Africa and Lesotho in Southern Africa.
