Jlab Export is a leading AC Position Control System Trainer Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
AC Position Control System Trainer (code EL-DSO-10343) is a position control trainer built around a two-phase AC servo motor with a gear train, used to study how a servo potentiometer senses shaft position and works as an error detector. Its control unit has in-built fixed AC and DC supplies. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

How Does It Compare with Other JLab Servo Trainers?
| Trainer | Motor unit | Built-in supplies | Meters and controls |
|---|---|---|---|
| This trainer (EL-DSO-10343) | 2-phase AC servo motor with gear train; loading arrangement and potentiometer on the shaft | Fixed 26 V AC and 6 V AC; fixed DC including +15 V DC | Null meter for angle; 3 control switches; 5 test points |
| DC Position Servo Mechanism Trainer | DC servo motor with shaft on both sides: tacho generator on one end, loading arrangement with potentiometer on the other | Fixed regulated +12 V DC; fixed 20 V DC | Null meter for angle; 5 control switches; 5 test points |
| AC Servo Speed Torque Characteristic Trainer | AC servo motor with 2-phase windings; loading arrangement on one shaft end, 20-hole disc with optocoupler on the other | Approx. 100 V AC reference winding; 0–60 V AC control winding | RPM meter; ammeter for load current |
Choose this trainer when the practical is AC servo position control with a potentiometer error detector. The DC Position Servo Mechanism Trainer covers the same position-sensing and error-detector objectives with a DC servo motor and tacho generator, while the speed–torque trainer is set up to measure speed against load rather than position.
What Is the AC Position Control System Trainer Used For?
A position control system moves an output shaft to a commanded angle and holds it there. On this trainer the servo potentiometer reports where the geared shaft is, the difference from the commanded position becomes the error signal, and the servo motor runs to reduce that error — the same principle used to point antennas and position valves. Studying this loop is a core experiment in the control systems lab of electrical, electronics and instrumentation engineering courses.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Number of trainers needed for the lab.
- AC or DC version — this AC servo trainer or the DC Position Servo Mechanism Trainer, which is a separate item.
- Mains supply at your site — the trainer is built for 220 V AC, 50 Hz.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does an AC servo motor have two windings?
One winding, the reference winding, is fed with a fixed AC voltage; the other, the control winding, receives the control signal. The amplitude of the control voltage sets the motor’s speed and its phase relative to the reference sets the direction, which is what lets the motor drive the shaft either way towards the commanded position.
What is supplied with the trainer?
The control unit comes with the motor unit, a power cord, patch cords and an instruction manual as standard accessories.
How many test points and switches does the panel have?
Five test points and three control switches. The circuit diagram is printed on the front panel and the important test points are brought out on the front, so students can trace signals without opening the cabinet.
What information is needed for an export quotation?
The number of trainers, the destination country and the port or city of delivery, your delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling instructions and the tender reference if there is one.
Who manufactures this trainer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and handles quotations and repeat orders directly.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of electronics trainers and laboratory instruments, incorporated in 2017 with its base on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The position control trainer is produced at JLab’s own works, not sourced through a trader, which means colleges, technical institutes, dealers and importers deal with the maker, each trainer is checked visually before dispatch, and follow-up orders come from the same source. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example DR Congo in Central Africa, Mexico in North America, Botswana in Southern Africa, Costa Rica in Central America and the Caribbean, and Georgia in Eastern Europe. Tender buyers can find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
