| 8085 Microprocessor Training Kit | 8085 (8-bit) | 16-bit programmable timer/counter using the 8253; programmable I/O lines | Monitor in EPROM, extendable with an assembler and disassembler; accepts JLab interfacing modules |
Pick this trainer when the syllabus covers the 8086/8088 family and the 8087 co-processor; pick the 8085 kit for courses built on the 8-bit 8085.
What Is the Microprocessor Trainer Used For?
In the microprocessor lab of electronics, computer and electrical engineering courses, students enter and run assembly-language programs through the keyboard and display, and work with the 8253 timers and the parallel I/O lines to interface the processor with the outside world. Running the 8086 in maximum mode is what allows it to work with the 8087, which takes over floating-point arithmetic from the main processor.
What to Specify When Ordering
- CPU — the 8086 16-bit or the 8088 8-bit version.
- Number of trainers for the lab.
- Mains supply — the trainer is built for 220 V AC, 50 Hz.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far can the memory be expanded?
The trainer has 16K bytes of CMOS RAM, expandable to 256K bytes, and 16K bytes of EPROM holding the monitor, which is also expandable.
Can the trainer program EPROMs?
It has an EPROM programmer interface, with a +24/21 V supply provided for the programmer.
Can external hardware be connected to the bus?
Yes. All address, data and control signals are TTL compatible and are brought to an edge connector as per Multibus.
What is supplied with the trainer?
A power cord and an instruction manual are the standard accessories.
What should an export enquiry include?
The CPU version and number of trainers, the destination country and port or city, the delivery terms you prefer (for example FOB or CIF), packing or labelling requirements and any tender reference.
Who manufactures this trainer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) builds it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes directly as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of electronics and microprocessor trainers in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This trainer is produced at JLab’s own works rather than resold from a trader, so engineering colleges, polytechnics, dealers and importers order it from the factory, each unit is visually checked before dispatch, and repeat orders are handled by the maker. JLab holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 as a manufacturing enterprise and Importer-Exporter Code 3317504552. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Kazakhstan in Central Asia, Mauritius in East Africa, Libya in North Africa, Angola in Central Africa and Greece in Southern Europe. Tender buyers will find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
