What Is the Culex Male, Female Model Used For?
In Culex the male has bushy, feathery antennae and long palps, while the female’s antennae are sparsely haired and her palps are much shorter than the proboscis. The female takes blood to nourish her eggs; the male feeds only on nectar and plant juices. Many Culex species bite mainly in the evening and at night. Culex quinquefasciatus carries the filarial worm Wuchereria bancrofti, the cause of lymphatic filariasis, which can end in elephantiasis, and other Culex species transmit Japanese encephalitis and West Nile viruses.
The model supports class 12 lessons on filariasis, college zoology practicals on insect identification and public-health training on mosquito vectors.

Which diseases does Culex spread?
Chiefly lymphatic filariasis, caused by Wuchereria bancrofti; some species also carry Japanese encephalitis and West Nile viruses.
How can Culex be told from Anopheles?
Culex rests with its body roughly parallel to the surface and its females have short palps. Anopheles rests at an angle, and its females have palps as long as the proboscis.

JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) makes it in Ambala, Haryana, and quotes for it directly; size and material are confirmed with the quotation.
OEM Manufacturer
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, known as JLab, is a manufacturer of laboratory equipment and zoology teaching models in India. It was incorporated in 2017 and operates from Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Because the model is produced at JLab’s own works and not bought in from a trader, schools, colleges, dealers and importers order it factory-direct, and every piece is visually checked before dispatch. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example the Philippines in Southeast Asia, Morocco in North Africa, Peru in South America, Mexico in North America and Congo in Central Africa.
