Digital Lux Meter Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-DMI-1041
Jlab Export is a leading Digital Lux Meter Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Digital Lux Meter (code EL-DMI-1041) is a battery-powered light meter that reads illuminance directly in lux on a 3.5-digit LCD, over three ranges of 0–200, 2000 and 20,000 lux. Running on a 9 V battery, it is easy to carry around a lab, classroom or workshop to check lighting levels and to take readings in physics experiments on light. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Digital Lux Meter Used For?
A lux meter measures how much light falls on a surface. In physics practicals students use it to show that illuminance from a small lamp falls off with the square of the distance, to compare different lamps, and to measure the light reaching a solar cell or light-dependent resistor while they record its output. Biology and environmental-science classes use it for light levels in plant-growth and habitat studies, and teachers and estate staff use it to check whether classrooms, laboratories and workbenches are adequately lit. The three ranges cover dim indoor light on the lowest scale up to bright light on the highest.
Start on the highest range and switch down until the reading is clear, hold the sensor flat towards the light without shading it with your hand, and remove the battery if the meter will be stored for a long time.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units; schools often plan one meter per group for light experiments.
- Spare 9 V batteries, if you want them quoted.
- Any light experiment apparatus, such as a photocell or LDR set, to be quoted with the meters.
Frequently Asked Questions
What range does the lux meter cover?
Three ranges: 0–200, 2000 and 20,000 lux, read on a 3.5-digit LCD.
What powers it?
A 9 V battery, so it can be used anywhere without a mains point. Outdoors, note that direct sunlight is usually brighter than the top range.
Can it be used for the inverse square law experiment?
Yes. Readings taken at measured distances from a small lamp in a darkened room show illuminance falling with the square of the distance, which is the standard inverse square law demonstration.
Who manufactures the Digital Lux Meter?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a physics lab instruments and digital meter manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The meter comes from JLab’s own works and not from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order factory-direct; every unit is visually checked before dispatch and repeat orders are handled by the maker. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Turkey in the Middle East, Gabon in Central Africa, Eswatini in Southern Africa, Peru in South America and Togo in West Africa.
