Jlab Export is a leading Digital Time Division Multiplexing and Demultiplexing Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Digital Time Division Multiplexing and Demultiplexing (code EL-CT-1505) is a communication trainer for studying how several digital channels share one line in turn and are separated again at the receiving end. An 8 : 1 multiplexer and a 1 : 8 demultiplexer are built into the board. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Digital TDM Trainer Used For?

Time division multiplexing lets one transmission path carry several channels by giving each of them a short time slot in a repeating frame. In digital TDM a clock steps an address through the channel numbers, the multiplexer passes whichever input is addressed, and at the far end a demultiplexer following the same address sequence routes every slot back to its own output. The idea runs through telephone trunk systems, where many voice channels share a single link, and through most digital communication buses.

The operating instructions give the object, theory, design procedure, report suggestions and book references for the experiment.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Number of TDM trainers for the lab.
  • Mains — the trainer is built for 230 V ±10%, 50 Hz AC; check this against the supply at your site.
  • Associated boards — the TDM PAM kit and the multiplexer and demultiplexer training boards below are separate items for the same enquiry if wanted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why must the multiplexer and demultiplexer stay in step?
Each time slot only means something if the receiver knows which channel it belongs to. If the demultiplexer’s address sequence slips relative to the multiplexer’s, data from one channel is delivered to another output, so practical TDM systems add framing or synchronisation signals to keep both ends aligned.

Why is a dual trace oscilloscope needed?
Because TDM is about timing, students need to see two signals at once — for example the multiplexed stream against the clock, or an input channel against the matching demultiplexed output. A 20 MHz dual trace cathode ray oscilloscope is required and is a separate item; JLab’s Dual Trace Oscilloscope, linked below, can go on the same quotation. Patch cords are provided with the trainer.

What information is needed for an export quotation?
The number of trainers, the destination country and port or city, the delivery terms you prefer (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling requirements, and the tender reference if one applies.

Who manufactures this TDM trainer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, which trades as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of communication and digital electronics trainers, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The TDM trainer is built in JLab’s own works rather than bought in from a trader, so institutions, dealers and importers buy from the maker, which also handles repeat orders and spares. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Norway in Northern Europe, Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, Morocco in North Africa, Burkina Faso in West Africa and Jamaica in Central America and the Caribbean. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
