Life Cycle of Mosquito All Species Model (code EL-BE-5205) is a biology teaching model of the mosquito life cycle — egg, larva, pupa and adult — named as covering mosquitoes in general rather than one genus. It helps students see how a mosquito develops in water before emerging as a flying adult, the starting point for lessons on mosquito-borne diseases. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Mosquito Life Cycle Model Used For?
Mosquitoes undergo complete metamorphosis, and the first three stages live in water. Larvae feed and breathe at the surface, pupae do not feed, and the adult emerges from the pupal case at the water surface. Only females bite, taking blood to develop their eggs. The common genera differ in ways students learn to spot: Anopheles lays single eggs with floats and its larvae lie flat under the surface; Culex lays eggs in rafts and its larvae hang head-down from a breathing siphon; Aedes lays eggs on damp surfaces just above the water, where they can survive drying.
In class 11 biology Anopheles, Culex and Aedes appear as insect vectors, and class 12 links them with malaria, filariasis, dengue and chikungunya and with control by removing stagnant water and stocking larva-eating fish such as Gambusia. The model supports those lessons, college zoology practicals and community health-education sessions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which mosquito stages are aquatic?
The egg, larva and pupa develop in water; only the adult leaves it. That is why draining standing water cuts mosquito numbers.
Does “all species” mean every genus is modelled separately?
The listing does not say which genera are depicted. If you need Anopheles, Culex and Aedes compared, ask JLab, or add the separate genus models listed below.
Who manufactures the model?
JLab, the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, known as JLab, is a biology lab equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and working from Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This mosquito model is built at JLab’s own works, not bought from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers deal straight with the maker and every unit is looked over before dispatch. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Burkina Faso in West Africa, Jordan in the Middle East, Norway in Northern Europe, Botswana in Southern Africa and Sudan in North Africa. See the JLab lab tenders page for tender enquiries.
