What Is the Compensation Network Trainer Used For?
A compensation network is added to a feedback control system to reshape its frequency response. A lead network adds phase lead near the gain crossover, which raises the phase margin and quickens the response; a lag network lifts the low-frequency gain relative to the high-frequency gain, which reduces steady-state error at the cost of some phase lag; a lead–lag network combines the two effects. On this trainer students can read each network’s phase shift and output voltage on the built-in digital meters, which links Bode-plot compensator design to measured values.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Number of trainers for the control systems lab.
- Mains supply — the trainer runs on 220 V AC, 50 Hz.
- Other control system trainers, such as the PID Simulator linked below, which are separate items for the same enquiry.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an all-pass network?
It is a circuit that passes signals of all frequencies with essentially the same amplitude while changing their phase. Having one on the board lets students separate pure phase shift from the gain-and-phase changes of the lead and lag networks.
What do the built-in meters measure?
The digital phase angle meter reads from 0 to 360 degrees and the digital AC voltmeter covers 0.1 V to 5 V, so phase and amplitude can be noted for each network.
What accessories come with it?
A power cord, patch cords, an instruction manual and a three-pin female metal connector cable.
What details does an export quotation need?
Give the number of trainers, the destination country with the port or city, the delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling instructions and, for a tender, the reference number.
Who manufactures this trainer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, which trades as JLab, makes it in its own works in Ambala, Haryana, and supplies it directly as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of control systems and electronics trainers, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The compensation network trainer is assembled at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so engineering colleges, polytechnics, dealers and importers buy it from the factory, every unit is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders go back to the maker. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Costa Rica in Central America and the Caribbean, Japan in East Asia, Chad in Central Africa, New Zealand in Oceania and Armenia in Eastern Europe. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
