Trigger a SCR by using a LDR Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-PET-1426
Jlab Export is a leading Trigger a SCR by using a LDR Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Trigger a SCR by using a LDR (code EL-PET-1426) is a power electronics training board for one focused experiment: firing an SCR from a light-dependent resistor (LDR) mounted on the panel. Two potentiometers provide intensity and sensitivity control, so students can see how the light level and the circuit setting decide when the SCR turns on. The board comes from the Ambala, India, works of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab).

What Is the LDR-Triggered SCR Board Used For?
The board shows how a light sensor can switch a power device directly. An LDR’s resistance falls as more light reaches it; in a trigger circuit that change alters the gate drive to the SCR, so the SCR fires once the light passes a level set by the circuit. The same idea is used in automatic lighting, light-beam alarms and object counters, which makes the experiment a practical introduction to opto-electronic control in power electronics and instrumentation courses.
What to Specify When Ordering
- The quantity of boards.
- Companion boards, such as Thyristor Alarms or the LDR Characteristics Apparatus, if you are planning a group of light-sensing practicals.
- Any multimeters or oscilloscopes you would like included in the quotation.
- The delivery destination and terms, and a tender reference if applicable.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the LDR trigger the SCR?
The LDR’s resistance depends on the light falling on it. As the light changes, the voltage the LDR circuit delivers to the SCR gate changes too, and when it reaches the trigger level the SCR switches on. The sensitivity potentiometer adjusts how readily the circuit responds.
What supply does the board work from?
It is operated from 230 V ±10%, 50 Hz AC mains, and a 6 V AC, 2 A supply is internally connected on the board.
How is it different from the Thyristor Alarms board?
Thyristor Alarms covers seven alarm experiments built around an SCR, works from an internal 12 V DC supply, has its own audio alarm and includes a light-beam alarm with an LDR as one of its circuits. This board concentrates on the single experiment of triggering an SCR with an LDR.
What should an export enquiry include?
The number of boards, the destination country and port or city, your delivery terms (such as FOB or CIF), any special packing or labelling, and the tender reference if the order is for a tender.
Who makes this board?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian producer of power electronics trainers and laboratory equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The board is made at JLab’s own works and not sourced from traders, so colleges, institutes, dealers and importers place orders with the manufacturer itself; boards are visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders are met from the same works. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Egypt in North Africa, Taiwan in East Asia, Samoa in Oceania, Brunei in Southeast Asia and Mexico in North America. For tenders, see the JLab lab tenders page.
