What Is the Transistor Astable Multivibrator Used For?
In the classic two-transistor astable, the collector of each transistor is coupled through a capacitor to the base of the other. While one transistor conducts, the other is held off until its base capacitor recharges through the base resistor; it then switches on and turns the first one off, and the cycle repeats.
