Bistable Multivibrator using Transistors Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-SOM-1153
Jlab Export is a leading Bistable Multivibrator using Transistors Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Bistable Multivibrator using Transistors (code EL-SOM-1153) is an apparatus designed to study the operation of a two-transistor bistable multivibrator — the basic transistor flip-flop. Both transistors are mounted on the front panel, a fixed 12 V DC regulated supply powers the circuit, and a combination of resistors and capacitors biases the transistors and takes off the output. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

How Does It Compare with Other JLab Multivibrator Trainers?
| Trainer | Details given in its listing |
|---|---|
| This apparatus (EL-SOM-1153) | Transistor bistable; two transistors on the front panel; fixed 12 V DC regulated supply; resistors and capacitors for biasing and output |
| Bistable Multivibrator using IC 555 | Timer-IC bistable; IC 555, resistors and capacitors at sockets; 5 V DC regulated supply on sockets; two push-to-ON trigger switches |
| Astable Multivibrator using Transistors | Cross-coupled transistors that switch continuously, giving a square wave without triggering |
| Astable, Monostable and Bistable Multivibrator using Transistor | All three transistor modes named in one listing |
What Is the Transistor Bistable Multivibrator Used For?
The two-transistor bistable, also known as the Eccles–Jordan circuit, is the original flip-flop circuit. Each collector is coupled to the other transistor’s base through a resistor, often with a small speed-up capacitor across it, so whichever transistor conducts holds the other off. The circuit therefore rests in either of two stable states until a trigger pulse switches it over, and it remembers the last state it was set to. Students measure the collector voltages of both transistors in each state, apply trigger pulses and confirm that the outputs swap and then hold. The same circuit acts as a one-bit memory and, when toggled, as a divide-by-two counter stage — topics covered in B.Sc. physics and electronics, diploma and ITI/TVET courses.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — 10 units minimum.
- A request to confirm the trigger inputs and output indicators, which the listing does not describe.
- Companion transistor astable and monostable trainers, or the IC 555 bistable, for a complete practical.
Frequently Asked Questions
What supply voltage does the apparatus use?
A fixed 12 V DC regulated supply powers the circuit; it is part of the instrument.
How is the circuit switched between its two states?
In a transistor bistable a short pulse applied to the appropriate base or collector flips the state. The listing does not describe the trigger inputs or output indicators on this apparatus, so ask JLab to confirm them.
How does it differ from the IC 555 bistable trainer?
This apparatus shows the flip-flop built from two discrete transistors on a 12 V supply; the IC 555 version uses the timer IC on a 5 V supply with two push-to-ON trigger switches.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of physics and electronics teaching apparatus, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. JLab builds this bistable apparatus at its own works rather than buying it from a trader, so colleges, dealers and importers order direct from the maker and get repeat supplies and spares from the same place. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Canada in North America, Ecuador in South America, Barbados in Central America and the Caribbean, Myanmar in Southeast Asia and Fiji in Oceania. Tender buyers can see the JLab lab tenders page.
