Product Code : EL-AET-1473
Jlab Export is a leading Wien Bridge Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Wien Bridge (code EL-AET-1473) is an analog electronics training board for studying the Wien bridge and measuring capacitance with both the Wien series bridge and the Wien parallel bridge. Decade resistances, a band-switched decade standard capacitance and an unknown capacitor form the bridge arms, and a 1 kHz sine-wave oscillator with an audio amplifier and speaker for null detection is built in. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) produces the board at its Ambala works in India.

How Does It Compare with Other JLab Wien Bridges?
| Model | Measures | Signal source | Arms and dials |
|---|---|---|---|
| This board (EL-AET-1473) | Capacitance by the Wien series and Wien parallel bridges | Built-in 1 kHz sine-wave oscillator | Four decade resistances; band-switched decade standard capacitance; unknown capacitor |
| Wien Series Resistance Bridge | Unknown capacitance by the Wien bridge method | Built-in 1 kHz sine-wave source | Decade dials for the four arms; five unknown values on a rotary switch |
| Frequency Wien Bridge | Unknown frequency of a bridge oscillator | The oscillator under test | Mechanically coupled resistance dials; decade capacitor dials; ratio dials |
Choose this board when students should measure capacitance by both the series and the parallel form of the Wien bridge, with the null heard on a speaker. The Wien Series Resistance Bridge measures capacitance with five rotary-switched unknowns, and the Frequency Wien Bridge is built to find the frequency of an oscillator.
What Is the Wien Bridge Board Used For?
In a Wien bridge, one arm holds a resistance and capacitance in series and the adjacent arm a resistance and capacitance in parallel, while the other two arms are plain resistances. Because the reactance of a capacitor changes with frequency, balance depends on both the component values and the supply frequency, which is why the same network is used to measure capacitance, to measure frequency and, in the Wien bridge oscillator, to set the frequency of an oscillator. On this board the decade resistances and the band-switched standard capacitance are adjusted at 1 kHz until the speaker tone falls to a minimum, and the unknown capacitance is calculated from the balance condition. It is a standard AC bridge practical in BSc physics, electrical measurements and diploma electronics courses.
What to Specify When Ordering

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Wien series and Wien parallel bridges?
They differ in whether the capacitance in the measuring arms is combined with a resistance in series or in parallel, which changes the balance equations used to calculate the unknown capacitance. Measuring the same capacitor both ways lets students compare the two methods, and the theory section of the operating instructions gives the balance condition for each.
How is the null detected?
The 1 kHz out-of-balance signal is amplified and played through the speaker. As the bridge comes into balance the tone fades, and the balance point is where it is quietest.
Why are decade resistances with different steps provided?
The three single-dial decades in 100 Ω steps set the main arm values, and the two-dial decade with 10 Ω and 100 Ω steps allows a closer setting, which helps students reach a sharper null.
How is this related to the Wien bridge oscillator?
The oscillator uses the same series and parallel RC network. At one frequency, set by the R and C values, the network passes the signal with no phase shift, and an amplifier around it then oscillates at that frequency.
What information is needed for an export quotation?
The number of boards, the destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, packing or labelling requirements, and the tender reference where applicable.
Who manufactures the Wien Bridge board?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, builds it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of AC bridges, physics apparatus and electronics trainers, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The Wien Bridge board is made at JLab’s own works and not bought from a trader, so colleges, universities, dealers and importers buy it from the maker itself, every board is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders and spares are handled by the same works. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Canada in North America, Switzerland in Western Europe, Turkey in the Middle East, Congo in Central Africa and Fiji in Oceania. Tender information is on the JLab lab tenders page.
